ROVs, tooling & control.
Sub-Robotix rents and sells ROV systems and subsea tooling, while developing VENOM, its own in-house control system, designed to support every class of ROV.
Three divisions. One team.
From a compact inspection ROV for a single job to a complete control system for an entire fleet, everything is engineered and supported in-house.
ROV & subsea tooling rentals
Viper and BlueROV systems with survey sensors, cavitation cleaning and underslung tooling, configured to the job.

Viper configuration
Tracked skid with pipeline survey frame
- Optional subsea tracks for working on the seabed, fitted only when needed
- Rear survey platform for pipeline and cable tracking, side scan and 3D point cloud mapping
- 4 in dredging system for clearing sediment
- Spare thruster ports run electric cleaning brushes
Intervention tooling
Torque tool skid
The open frame and clear lower deck take tooling skids, underslung tool packages and small hydraulic or electric manipulators.
- Manipulator port on the ROV control pod
- Single or dual manipulator operations
Subsea control system
Subsea I/O
Three subsea control pods on a single Ethernet network. One network switch joins the surface and subsea systems, and all video and sensor data is Ethernet-based.
ROV control pod
- 5× 1 GbE ports with 24 VDC for IP cameras, sonars, DVL or any Ethernet sensor
- 2× SD video inputs
- RS232 / RS485 sonar port
- Pan & tilt and manipulator port
- Compensator sensors
- 2× spare RS232 / RS485 ports with 24 VDC
Thruster pod
- 8× thruster ports (2 spare, for cleaning brushes)
- 2× dual LED light ports
- Compass, depth and altimeter
- 2× spare RS232 ports with 24 VDC
TMS control pod
- 2× SD video inputs
- TMS drive and latch unit
- 2× dual LED light ports
- Tether counter and compensator sensor
- Depth / compass
- 2× optional 1 GbE ports with 24 VDC
Cleaning & tooling
Excav8 cavitation jetting
Removes marine growth, corrosion and deposits at half the pressure of conventional HP water jetting. A zero-thrust design lets the pilot hold stand-off without compensating, ideal for surface preparation before inspection.
Survey capabilities
One ROV, every survey tool
- ARIS Explorer 3000 imaging sonar: 128 beams, 3 mm range resolution, 300 m depth rating
- 3D photogrammetry models through specialist partners such as Viewport3
- Cygnus ultrasonic thickness and flooded member inspection
- Pipe and cable survey, side scan and 3D point cloud mapping
Mobilisation
Quick to deploy
Our gravity-based launch solution needs no sea fastening, which drastically speeds up mobilisation and reduces cost. A single container powers the winch, crane and ROV, so only one power connection is needed offshore.
ROV sales
Buy the same systems we run ourselves. Each is supplied to suit your depth, format and scope, with Sub-Robotix electronics, video, lighting and control.
Fully electric work ROV
General purpose professional ROV for observation, survey, pipelay support, light to medium work and NDT inspection. Six AC electric thrusters, buoyant polypropylene frame, manipulator capability and auto heading, depth and altitude.
Compact inspection ROV
Open frame, open-source software and a tether of 25–300 m, battery or surface powered. Carries HD or 4K camera, 360° and multibeam sonar, side scan, temperature and pH sensors.
Complete packages
A-frame, jib crane, live boat or TMS launch and recovery. Underslung torque tools, HP water jetting, manipulators and tooling skids, plus surface control stations.
Surface control station
Everything the pilot needs
- High-end alloy pilot joystick with adjustable feel and mount
- Fully configurable stream deck and 15" touchscreen with saved profiles
- Four 32" 4K monitors driven by a dedicated video computer
Let VENOM take control.
VENOM is a highly advanced ROV control system developed in-house by Sub-Robotix, built to control every type of ROV on an architecture that expands easily.
Electric ROV
Light work class
Work class
Trenching system
Any ROV, any size
From smaller electric systems to light and heavy work class, ploughs and trenching systems. Retrofit to ageing ROVs where component obsolescence is a problem.
Expandable architecture
Subsea boards are selected to accommodate the I/O the system needs. Ethernet-native, with 5× 1 GbE ports and 24 VDC on the ROV pod.
Sensors & cameras
Any number of IP cameras and sonars, plus all the industry standard survey sensors required for ROV operations.
Flexible surface control
A simple control station where space is limited, or a full control chair where space allows.
Intuitive, your way
Users set up their own profile and choose which controls map to which subsea functions, with HOTAS mapping built in.
Video wall controller
Subsea, survey and surface video with overlays, recording and export around the vessel and beyond.
Over the horizon
Control and diagnostic feedback to anywhere on the planet is built into the core of VENOM.
